This article covers best practice steps for uploading videos to ensure posts will go out as intended.


If you run into a piece of content that was supposed to have a video, but now shows as a still image, it's most likely due to an issue when the video was first uploaded to the platform. This can also be the case when videos post as links with a cloud URL, instead of the video itself sent out with the post.


Step 1


Add your video and make any changes you would like to the content, and then choose your accounts you want as the defaults. Once you've done that, click "Save Content".




Step 2


Once you do that, you will be brought back into the main page of the content library. From here, click back into that new piece of content, to check and make sure the video fully loads.



Now you've successfully uploaded your video! If you still run into video posting issues, here are the specifications required to post videos that we would advise checking:


Container: MP4 (MPEG-4 Part 14), no edit lists, moov atom at the front of the file.

Audio codec: AAC, 48khz sample rate maximum, 1 or 2 channels (mono or stereo).

Video codec: HEVC or H264, progressive scan, closed GOP, 4:2:0 chroma subsampling.

Frame rate: 23-60 FPS.

Maximum resolution: 1080x1920

Minimum aspect ratio [cols / rows]: 4 / 5

Maximum aspect ratio [cols / rows]: 16 / 9

Video bitrate: 5Mbps recommended

Audio bitrate: 128kbps

Duration: 3 seconds minimum, maximum is dependent on platform (Platform Posting Guide)

File size: 512 MB maximum
