A Social Media post can fail for a number of reasons. Below are common reasons and items to check for:


1. Check the connection status of the Social Media account - Refresh the Credentials for any accounts that have a red or yellow exclamation point icon.

  


Please Note: If the account owner is not a user of the platform and connected via 'Cloud Connect' the user may need to re-connect via a Cloud Connect link.


2. Check the post compatibility with the social media network - Posting Guide


In addition, marketing users can check the Calendar for any post errors. Any failed posts will be RED on the Calendar. After clicking into the post details, a checklist of errors will display. 


Please keep in mind, when you see platform specific error messages for example: Instagram is experiencing issues right now, please try posting later.  These messages are coming directly from the Social Media platform itself and not created or managed by Optimal Blue. We typically will not be provided any additional information as to the specifics of the issues the social media platform is experiencing. If the issue is persistent, searching for articles online that could provide insight on that specific Social Media platform is often helpful, especially if the issue is widespread.
