This article will help users understand the difference between editing vs. adding a caption, and the different uses for each.


Adding a new caption, when the intention was to edit, can cause many issues with how your posts go out! If you are running into issues with content using a caption that wasn't intended, this is where you should be.


Editing a caption


If you want to edit an existing caption, navigate to the content in the content library, click the 3 dots in the top right, and then click edit.



Once you are in the edit pop-up, click on the "Captions" tab. If you scroll to the bottom, you should see the existing caption on the content.


Go ahead and click on the pencil icon in the top right of that caption, and that should allow you to start editing!


Once you are done, click "Update Caption", and your changes will be saved.


Adding a caption


If you want to recycle a post, you may want to have multiple captions that we can cycle through as you continue to use the post.


To add a new caption, go ahead and navigate to the content in the content library, click the 3 dots in the top right, and then click edit.



Once you are in the edit pop-up, click on the "Captions" tab. Then you can begin typing your new content in the blank space. When you're done, click "Add Caption".



Now that you have added your next caption, you can scroll to the bottom and see it's been added to the carousel of captions for the content.


As you recycle the post, it will automatically cycle through the captions each time it posts.
